How to Straighten Curly Hair
Straightening Hair can be a long and daunting task for those with super curly hair. By following a few simple hair tips you can help speed up the process of hair straightening.
Tip # 1 – Use a shampoo and conditioner formulated to help relax curls.
Tip #2 - Before styling apply a hair treatment to help smooth hair and protect it from heat damage.
Tip #3 – Using a hair dryer and a round or flat paddle hair brush, blow dry hair straight starting from the bottom layers, working your way up.
Tip# 4 - Once hair is completely dry, section hair so that you can start at the bottom back layers of your hair. Taking sections no bigger than 2 inches, use a hair straightener to smooth out one section at a time, working from the bottom back layers to the sides and then up to the top layers of your hair.
Tip#5 - When using your hair straightener, run the hair iron down the section of hair SLOWLY. This helps avoid having to go over the same section of hair multiple times. If your hair is very curly, you will want to use a hair straightener that gets hot enough to straighten your hair as well keep hair straight.
